How to unlock
Scan Electric Geordie with the Bio Scanner.
Bio Scanner required
Most BioMods require the Bio Scanner attachment (green glow while aiming). Parts are found in the late-game zone; craft at a Modification Station. Standard Scanner scans do not unlock BioMods—you must re-scan donors with the Bio Scanner.
Where to scan
Deep waters beyond the Alien Ruins after you are sent to build a second base (~1,241 m from the starting Life Pod).
In-game effect
Emits an 800-volt shock that stuns or deters medium and large predators, reducing their interest in attacking.
Tips
Hard crowd control when a predator is closing in—alternative to Chum Cloud for direct confrontation.
