Troilite

FeS (iron sulfide)

Geological Data

Iron sulfide mineral. Conductive and thermally reactive; gathered from deep-root resonatable clinker and troilite metal-farm deposits—not loose meteorite pickups.

Overview

Iron sulfide mineral. Conductive and thermally reactive, troilite is used in entangled power cells, mangalloy ingots, photovoltaic chargers, and other energy systems.

Databank Text

1. Deep-root clinker nodes

Map markers appear as Deep Root Resonatable Resource. These mineralized clinker deposits are industrial runoff hardened on the seafloor; breaking them with the Sonic Resonator is the main early source of troilite.

2. Metal farm troilite seed

After unlocking Metal Farms from Axum ruins, plant a troilite seed in a metal farm. The grown resonatable troilite deposit yields 2 troilite each time it is broken with the resonator.

3. Not a meteorite resource

Players often search for "meteorite" when looking for troilite. There is no separate meteorite item tied to troilite; nickel ore descriptions mention meteor impacts, which is unrelated.

Assessment

Essential mid-game mineral for advanced batteries and alloys. Prioritize deep-root nodes on the interactive map, then set up a troilite metal farm for renewable harvests.
