Dermal Garden
PassiveSlowly grow nutritious algae on your skin
Always active while equipped·Early Access: equip 1 Active (default Shift on PC) and 1 Passive at a time.
How to unlock
Scan Needler Mango with the Bio Scanner.
Bio Scanner required
Most BioMods require the Bio Scanner attachment (green glow while aiming). Parts are found in the late-game zone; craft at a Modification Station. Standard Scanner scans do not unlock BioMods—you must re-scan donors with the Bio Scanner.
Where to scan
Large deep trenches in the endgame zone toward the giant structure. Highly aggressive—bring a repair tool for your vehicle.
In-game effect
Every 3 minutes adds an Algae Block (+5 food) to your inventory. Stack caps at 30. Net effect: roughly halves hunger decay (lose ~9 food per 3 min vs gain 5).
Tips
Use food before hitting the cap or you waste passive ticks. Comparable to Slow Metabolism—pick emergency rations vs slower drain.
