Required bioscans

How to unlock

Scan Hoverthorn with the Bio Scanner.

Bio Scanner required

Most BioMods require the Bio Scanner attachment (green glow while aiming). Parts are found in the late-game zone; craft at a Modification Station. Standard Scanner scans do not unlock BioMods—you must re-scan donors with the Bio Scanner.

Where to scan

Small fish you can grab by hand on the north edge of late-game waters past the canyon, near the giant structure.

In-game effect

Emits an audible beeping alert when aggressive predators are nearby.

Tips

Helpful near Angel Comb and other high-traffic predator zones.

Bioscans and biomods are easier to plan when you can compare scan targets, genome costs, and the creatures behind each unlock.

Use creatures for habitat and threat context, the Crafting Planner for material needs around the Biolab, and the interactive map to plan scan routes before spending genomes.
