How to unlock
Scan both Toxic Sponge and Houndgar with the Bio Scanner.
Bio Scanner required
Most BioMods require the Bio Scanner attachment (green glow while aiming). Parts are found in the late-game zone; craft at a Modification Station. Standard Scanner scans do not unlock BioMods—you must re-scan donors with the Bio Scanner.
Where to scan
Toxic Sponge: caves in the starter area. Houndgar: near Alien Ruins in the late-game zone (drill-like creature).
In-game effect
Shoots bait into the water that attracts aggressive predators for about 5–10 seconds of relief.
Tips
Distraction tool—good when sharks or similar predators block your path.
